Women's Campus Safety Funding

The Women’s Campus Safety Grant funding is available to any individual or group from the university community to enhance safety for women at the University of Guelph. The funding can be used to implement findings from safety audits, to educate and inform students, faculty, and staff about safety and security issues and for programs and equipment that will address safety and security needs on campus.

New Director Announced for Campus Police

The University of Guelph has named David Lee, a veteran with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), as director of Campus Community Police, Emergency Management and Fire Safety.

Lee will begin his appointment Sept. 28.

The Guelph Police Service - Fraud Unit would like to remind those looking to rent or those who have posted a property for rent to take extra care to protect themselves from becoming the victim of an online Rental Scams.

Rental scams can vary, but here are three common scenarios:

Move-In Day September 5, 2015

The University of Guelph will welcome nearly 5,000 new students into campus residences this fall.

Some students will move in Friday, Sept. 4; expect minor traffic disruptions that day.

Official move-in day and Orientation Week kickoff is Saturday, Sept. 5. Gordon Street between Stone Road and College Avenue will be accessible only to students between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Only new students will have access to McGilvray Road, South and East Ring roads and Dundas Lane, as well as parking lots P31, P13, P17, P18 and P19.
