Beware - Scammers selling fake TVs & Stereo Speakers on Campus

Van scammers often attend campus and approach students indicating they are selling expensive high-end equipment because they have too much inventory or have extra units from a recent job and that they need to get rid of quickly. In an attempt to mislead the buyer, the equipment’s brand name is often similar to well-known manufacturers.

Leaving Property Unattended - Invites Theft

Laptops and knapsacks that are left unattended can be a quick target of choice for a thief. Thefts such as this have occurred across campus and in shared spaces.When you walk away from your property and leave it unattended you may be leaving yourself open to a theft. To minimize your risk of losing your property here are some tips.

In the past,as we approach exams and our study time increases, there have been thefts of laptops from various locations. Please secure your laptop, phone and personal items if you leave your study area even for a short period of time.
