Motor Vehicle accident March 4, 2013

On March 4, 2013 at 3:50 p.m., Guelph police attended to an accident on Gordon Street near College Avenue. A 22 year old male pedestrian was reportedly walking in the bicycle lane of Gordon Street. The pedestrian began to cross Gordon Street in front of an oncoming southbound car. The driver tried unsuccessfully to avoid the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to Guelph General Hospital before being sent to a Hamilton Hospital for medical treatment. The driver was not injured. 

The police investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to contact Cst. Jackson at 519-824-1212 voice mail 7193.
